INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS
Key Stage 2 - Years 3 to 6Our Key Stage 2 (KS2) teaching (years 3 to 6) is organised along traditional primary school lines, but is enhanced by specialist teaching in creative arts and Mandarin Chinese. We follow National Curriculum programmes of study throughout these year groups, which means that we are able to monitor pupils' progress closely (as individuals, as a class group, and in relation to children of the same age in the UK) and provide parents with accurate and up-to-date information regarding children's academic attainmnent. The teaching of literacy and numeracy is at the core of all that we do, but there is also a strong focus on children's physical, emotional and social development through studies in physical education, music, art, geography and history. There is also a strong emphasis on the teaching of ICT skills and equipping children with the desire and know-how ultimately to become independent learners. As elsewhere in the school, we place a premium on collaboration and mutual respect and strive to impart to our pupils the importance of social and envrionmental responsibility.
